The center of interests is not a formal requirement for the renewal of the residence permit

With sentence dated 3 September 2021 (2C_103/2019) the Second Court of public law of the Federal Tribunal established that the center of vital and personal interests – the place where an individual maintains the focus of his personal and economic activities – of a beneficiary of a residence permit does not fall within the formal criteria established by law to establish the right to renewal.
